Nokia 2600 Review

Nokia 2600 is supposed to help to strengthen the company's position in the low-price segment. On the one hand, the model possesses rather a good functionality, on the other hand it has an attractive price. The presence of out-of-date screen is logical because the model is cheap. There is no WAP browser either. The device is targeted to developing markets and on users that buy a phone for the first time only for calling. This is the first time that the company changed its policy and equipped their device with a call timer. It is shown not only after a call but during it also.

Review

Available in the UK from September 2004, the Nokia 2600 is another "back to basics" phone from Nokia: no camera, no radio, a basic colour screen and, mercifully, a conventional keypad layout! The 2600 is not rich in features, but is a nicely styled phone that fits in your pocket and is easy to use. The integrated handsfree speaker is a nice touch. For some resaon, Nokia have decided to incorporate a spreadsheet function into the 2600. On a screen with just 128 x 128 pixels, this is an interesting decision!
