The Nokia 5140 is the latest in Nokia's 5xxx series of durable phones designed to be hard wearing for outdoor and sports activities. Nokia claim that the 5140 offers "Enhanced durability and resistance to the elements and usage in sports inspired lifestyle." It's debatable just how durable the phone is - soak it in water or drop it onto a hard surface and it's likely to break, just like any other mobile - but Nokia have certainly made an effort to protect the phone against minor bumps and splashes. The outer shell is tougher than most, and being changeable it can be replaced if it gets scratched or scuffed. The bottom flap helps to protect against water damage, and there is an inner module to provide additional protection against water damage.

Review

In early 2003, the Nokia 3650 turned a lot of heads when word of the phone leaked back in September, 2002. One cannot help but notice how Nokia's flair for unique designs really shows. The departure from the standard square keypad is interesting - a trend started by its predecessors.

The most obvious feature of the 3530 is the addition of a colour screen. With the high resolution screen reaching 4096 colours it presents a clear display that is a great size for game playing. This is combined with java ability and the option to download more games via wap 2. Nokia 3530 also supports GPRS and wap 1.2.1 making enhanced web browsing one of its key features.

Besides three standard colors you can choose one of the offered panels. They differ not only in color but in functionality as well. So Xpress-on™ Active Covers have translucent front panel, during a call the phone doesn't only vibrate but winks with all the cover. The Nokia 3510 was the replacement for the hugely-popular Nokia 3210/3310/3330 phones. Featuring an updated front panel design, the 3510 is the same size as the older Nokias, but lighter. Like the 3410, the Nokia 3510 has all of the features that made the 3210/33xx so popular - downloadable ringtones, Xpress-on™ covers and great ease of use. But it introduces some new technology within the familiar exterior. New features include polyphonic (MIDI) ringtones, Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) and GPRS (fast, always-on internet access).The X-press-on covers available for the Nokia 3510 include some specialised functional covers, such as the gaming cover. Snap on the gaming cover, and you can really enjoy the 5 built-in games, which make good use of the phone's polyphonic sound and vibration effects.

The peculiarity of the phone is that it became the first of Nokia models to support Java applications and have a recurrent alarm clock for a week. About all the rest features, this phone is rather scarce in functions and according to its characteristics can be positioned between 3330 and 5210 models.

The K700i is a great looking phone which comes in a choice of either optic silver or blue tinted silver colours & it looks very sleek in either options.
